Naa dont think its fake, some guy was in my pub the other day, manager told us not to serve him and him to leave, he went outside, took 15mins trying to unpadlock his bike on the railing outside, sparked up. Then tried again, after about 5mins he unlocked it, 10mins later tried to ride off, got about 5foot and fell off.
