Dont even compare hardstyle to this shit lol.

The stuff you posted is hands up/happy hardcore. I love on youtube whenever anyone hears a dance song they are like "I LOVE TECHNO FOREVER <3" they dont even know what techno is lol. Its absolute dire imo, its the stuff i expect 14 year old chavs to run around blaring out their phones. You would probaby like all the stuff from clubland xtreme hardcore, Darren Styles and all them.

I dont like cheesy dance music, Hardstyle + Hardcore = win.

Having listened to the 3 youtube links that the OP posted, the style that you are looking for mate is called "Happy Hardcore". Its not a style that I'm into, so I couldn't tell you the names of all the main producers, but if its what you are looking for then they play this kind of stuff all the time on the Kraftyradio.com internet radio station..

Its not techno for starters, nor is it hardstyle. Techno, in all its varieties has a more regular "4 to the floor" rhythm, and hardstyle is faster in tempo. Both (usually) sound a lot less cheesy. And the happy hardcore that you are looking for is mostly made in the UK, not Holland. Holland predominately produces hardstyle and gabber.

Myself, I'm more into hardcore, speeedcore and breakcore - can recommend some good names of prodcuers there to get you started if you want.

Yeah its all happy/uk hardcore. Aka cheesy shite lol.

What hardcore artists do you listen to? I mainly listen to a lot of the mainstream ones (like the ones i posted), off Masters of Hardcore CD's etc. Some speedcore/terrorcore is alright, i like Plague, Smurf, Gabba Front Berlin, Rotterdam Terror Corps etc.

[snipped youtube links]

Have to agree with Declan that of all the stuff posted on this list so far, these are the only identifiably techno tunes we've had so far, although to be pedantic the last 2 are from a sub-genre of techno known as "acid techno" that is mostly made in London, England, and gets played all weekend long at the underground techno parties there [as described in the lyrics of "One Night in Hackney", lol]

Its amazing how many people will hear a drum machine chugging away at a high tempo and just assume that its techno that they are listening too, Hence most of the stuff that you might unearth if you search for techno on YouTube is trance or happy hardcore stuff. Not gonna knock other peoples musical tastes but I just wish people wouldn't label music as "techno" unless it really is.

I spent years listening to techno and about a year on the road every weekend with a techno soundsystem, putting on underground raves across the south of England and even into Wales, France and Holland on occasion. Those were crazy days and I remember them fondly, albeit slightly hazily. Since thats put me in a techno'ey mood here's a couple of other techno tunes that I've found youtubed that you might like.:

I'll post some of the hardcore stuff that I was on about earlier up the thread, later on once I've had a chance to see what is or isnt on YouTube (no point in talking about tunes if the rest of you won't get to hear them).
Declan
Id love to be able to go to all those techno events in the UK, sadly theres none of them here sad.gif

Yeah some local DJs where I live got me into acid techno. I like a bit of minimal too. Saw Chris Leibing on the weekend.

One night in New York City is some fucked up song, all the same its a good tune!

Is that more of the type of music you want to listen to?

Theres quite a few big dance events here in Glasgow. Usually a few a month (big names playing), theres a club here called The Arches that always hosts them. Theres a big variety of music around Glasgow, theres events for techno/minimal, house, hardstyle, hardcore, dubstep/dnb etc. Theres a lot more down in England.

Heard some of the acid basslines in really old school hardstyle/hard trance?

Such a sick track lol.
3hit__0wnz
Didnt like it taggy, was far to slow for my liking.

Zparanoid, you'v put me off techno for ever now lol tongue.gif.
