I'm still learning cos they don't show the games in Europe so I can't watch it much so I guess i'm a... part time fan or something as it's not a native sport to me. But ye it's cool.

leafs wont make playoffs next year, i think even brian burke knows that, we arent gonna get any better then we are now until giguere, finger, etc are all off the books and beauchemin/kaberle (one of the two) are gone. we have NO cap for forwards whatsoever until this happens (after next year and i think finger has 1 more after that)and this years UFA crop is gonna be shit because anyone worth mentioning will resign with their team/sign with a contender.

just think, Toronto wants to get top forwards, we have no draft picks so we have to sign UFA's, there is none this year noteworthy besides marleau (plekanec will probably stay a Hab), and we have 6 million dollars that could be an impact player, playing 1a/1b past his prime in net for us.

Completely disagree its the best spectator sport out there. The environment of a baseball park makes it great. Watching on TV is ok but its not even close to live.

The environment is the only thing that makes it tolerable. Watching on TV is just painstaking. I used to be a huge ball fan, then I realised how boring it was after I got out of minor ball and it stopped being as fun.

I don't mind watching it on TV. It's not that different it's just that you can't see all the action. The real issue for me is 162 games. I just get bored of following it after a few months because its never ending.

A hockey games atmosphere is 10x better than that of a baseballs atmosphere. Espically come playoff time.

Capitals, Sabres, Hurricanes (When good), Minnesota all have unreal atmospheres. Hell even tampa bay had a good atmosphere in the finals. Same with pittsburgh
