The LHJMQ doesn't mess with that kind of hits and Cormier has been suspended indefinitely. Theres good chances he will have trouble with the local police too. Hes pretty much fucked. Patrick Roy's son(Jonathan, ex-goalie) was basically forced into retiring after Quebec's police got involved about his vicious attack on the ice so I wouldn't be surprised if it happened to Cormier too.

Breloss, this guy looks like a repeat offender to me:

The laps of time between those 3 hits is way too short to think they were accidents.

He's fucked after watching those two. As both were just bone headed plays. Even though those shouldn't be brought forth (but we be) in the disciplinary hearing because they happened in international hockey. Also forgot it's the french dealing with it who over react to everything physical because in general they're just a bunch of pussies. Hopefully the police don't get involved in hockey again like the Roy incident.

A side note about the Roy one: It was not a vicious attack. He was just hot headed and an idiot. The other goalie should have fought back (although I can't remember fully whether or not there was a back story to a reason the other goalie wasn't able to fight). If someone starts unloading punches at you, fucking fight back.

@Kyle: He was already throwing the hit before Tam saw him, and since he was throwing an elbow on the hit obviously it was up before Tam's head.

@Leo: You're going to have a hell of a time ThumbUp.gif. FYI, when our goalie (Luongo) makes a save, we're not idiots booing our own goalie. We're yelling Luuuuu (goes back to Lui Passaglia who was a BC Lions kicker). Little history of Vancouver sport for ya tongue.gif.

Edit: LOL @ every Shark having at least two PP shifts with the exception of Mitchell and Setoguchi with just 1 each. http://www.nhl.com/ice/boxscore.htm?id=2009020732

Edit2: OMG. Kyle Rehman was reffing that game. Guarantee there were a bunch of shit calls. I've grown up hating that guy since 4-5 years ago in the WHL.

Habs had 2 defencemen on the 4th line yesterday...prove me wrong if you can but I'm pretty sure they're the only NHL team to do that lol...Its a pretty clear message that Timmins and Martin can't get the best out of the young talents in Hamilton...Subban was at the junior All-Stars game but we have yet to see him be recalled by the Habs.

And Gainey just released Laraque rofl, no playoffs for Habs this year I'm 90% sure.

Might be biting your tongue if the Flames can't turn it around soon (I hope they can't).

Hank Sedin leading the league in scoring but a nice 5 point margin. Pretty awesome watching the top line right now, they just keeping putting up the numbers that we have needed for so long.

Sucks I didnt get to buy the t-shirt/jersey from Burrows too, didnt find it at sportschek and my friends didnt want to go to the store on the stadium

Also random but, if anyone went to the game, me and my friends made a huge poster "I Feel like Partying" did anyone see it? The guy I live with was on the other side of the GM place and saw it, but the TV bitches didnt show us :/

Someone doesn't know his hockey.

A team with NO enforcers will never make it in the playoffs, they'll just get bullied like mad every game cause they won't retaliate. When Laraque was on the bench other teams were more cautious but now, oh boy, it will be a party when they play vs MTL(not that it wasnt a party already). Our only remaining big guy(Hall Gill) seems to have his sight set on the Lady Bing trophy so yeah, we're fucked.

Woah there. Rypien is known as a top fighter in the league. You can't really bash Gill on losing to him, at least he dropped them with a known fighter, unlike the Philly hero in Carcillo beating up on Gaborik (props to him for fighting though).

Also, teams have never had a problem making the playoffs without size and toughness. But once they make it they get dismantled because of the physical presence in the playoffs. But I don't see Montreal making the playoffs right now with or without Laraque.

Ovechkin's goal was no different than that one, both are 100% luck. Ovechkin could try reproducing his goal 24/7 for the next 10 years and it wouldn't work.

@Kyle:

No shit enforcers don't win you hockey game, thats not what I was implying. Enforcers make the life of your star players easier 'cause the big guys on the other teams won't go after them as often if they know they'll get beaten up for it.

Pretty sure Eric Godard is not a skilled playmaker or goalscorer yet he was voted "mvp" by his teammates in Pittsburg last year? You can scratch Pittsburg off your list of 4 teams successful without enforcers. 3/16, nice.

enforcers aren't 100% necessary, but u can look at the past 10 years of the blackhawks and you tell me they always had this sucesses. they have a great team right now, with or without an enforcer.

wings dont have anyone...and as you can see there struggling for the first time in a while.

i think people are missing the point that Montreal isn't blackhawks, or past wings. there not as good. they get picked on enough with laraque. taking him out of the roster is gonna be a feading frenzy for everyone on the opposite team.

and of course enforcers don't score goals, they make sure the goal scorers can score the goals. anyone remember Semenko, McSorley? both had gretzky's back 100% of the time, without them who knows how many times he would have been fucked up?

teams CAN find suceses without enforcers, but they have to have the right build, the right coaching and enough skill. something i find right now the canadians dont have lol

Enkidutorix: Has Kesler ever been considered an enforcer? Or even a physical force? He's a hell of a checker with a scoring upside, but no tough guy by any means. We have Rypien, Hordichuk and O'Brien for that.

You can take O'Brien off that list. When's the last time he even made a hit that made you think 'damn...' let alone got into a fight. I do like the fact that he doesn't take any stupid penalties anymore. But thank god we have Rypien to pick up his slack. Fucken love that guy. If i were to buy another Nucks Jersey i'd have a hard time choosing between Rypien and Kesler.

nothing better then a kesler home jersey and burrows away jersey on the wall.

Could say the same thing about Bieksa as i did about O'Brien. Bieksa was a helluva a d-man when he was throwing his weight around and fighting ppl. I just don't see the same intensity from him anymore...it's a little frustrating because i really like him.

Anyways, correct me if im being a little bias here but have the Canucks been looking realllly good lately? 8-2-1 in January with a current 5 game winstreak on the go. With a couple shit pumpings of top of the league teams like Pittsburg(6-2) and Chicago(5-1).

Replace O'Brien with Glass then. If Glass gets resigned next year he's going to be the jersey I get. Liked the guy ever since the first exhibition game I saw him in.
