Sigur Ros is a band my friend introduced me too- the lyrics are pretty much meaningless but the voice is just to fit the music. It's good music so if you need something to read to I'd recommend them. They kinda remind me of a much-easier-to-listen-to Einsturzende Neubauten

Steel Panther is a fake hair metal band based out of LA and Vegas- they play 3 shows a week and far as i know pack every venue they goto. Recently they toured the east side of the US but still havent really caught on. I think since signing to UMG they plan to expand out but IMO that would kill the joke.
