Just wondered why they stopped and does it affect people applying to get in under the F2P requirement?

Also I'm guessing pk leaders can call p2p multi trips and mb trips but they're not mandatory?

and as for recommending strikes did Lord Weasley send you those pics of people not dropping rune at the fight with RSD the other week Brian? If not I can forward the mail he sent me.

I think they stopped besically because no one was out, but saying that there were decent fun and Id like to have atleast one a week. The only hard thing is times with GMTers having college in the morning and ESTers in college

Pretty simple really, if you look at the times they just dont work out. It would HAVE to be at least 5 PM EST which is 10 PM GMT, which is too late on a school night for alot of our members. Also the fact that when people can have a pretty good reason for not being there, you'll find that a hell of alot more people wont turn up, because its F2P and alot of people just simply dont enjoy it.

As for what can and cant be done, I'll be addressing that in another topic soon.

Personally I think we should have more f2ps, maybe give Pk leaders the power to call random f2p pks during the day if they hear a small clans out (like DA, TR, Exer etc) and make that mandatory to attend for f2p members because atm there isn't even any midweek trips they're required to attend.

Id agree with this, it would also help f2p members get their pk reqs as quick as p2p.

Well not really, midweek trips would not be considered mandatory, so they wouldn't count towards anyones req requirements.

I think the last poll Brian did to see whom would be interested/available to pk mid week, there was a bigger "NO" verdict then "YES". Personally, I don't see many people wanting to pk during the mid-week due to work and school. Also we need to keep in mind that there are pros and cons to pking midweek atm.

Our GMT'ers would be leaving soonish just after the trips would be starting. That's a big blow to our #'s. Corr and DF pull pretty solid opts during their midweek trips, that sometimes last for hours. We simply do not have the manpower in our #'s at this present time to compete with that. When they hear we are out, they will mass for us.

Sure it gives us practice, and exposure that we are active in wild other then weekends, but you guys have to look at how these possible losses will effect the clans morale. It's been seen many times in the past, people get down and end up leaving because of it. I think having them right now would be more detrimental to our rebuilding process then anything, it's going to be a slow rebuild until our #'s improve.

There simply won't be an interest from many members for f2p midweek trips, I'm going on previous polls and discussions with people but I suppose you could get a consensus from the clan and see. I still have huge doubts though.

Now P2P multi trips during the week that would work out nicely.

I disagree with "spur of the moment" f2p pk trips and would agree with what Brie has stated.

However, I do feel a need to get DI more exposure on the f2p scene. People want to join an ACTIVE clan, and although we are an active clan, we are no longer appealing to the majority of runescape. The clan world is no longer dominated by DI and no longer does p2p matter to the scene as a whole. We can MB PK all day everyday and yet very few people will learn of DI and want to join our clan for that reason. People have begun to base activity on F2P, which we need to understand and deal with if we want to see DI improve.

This is what I suggest (Foyboy's idea): Have a timed fight during the week with a clan equal in power. An ideal time limit would be 45-90 minutes. Whether or not the outcome is posted on RSC is up to Brian and the other clan. Fights would be tree to tree. Tbh the Pk Leaders could lead these trips if Brian was unavailable. After all the main purpose is to prepare DI for tree to tree fights and to get us all more experience.

This would give DI Members a guaranteed fight, which usually pulls more options, and also practice / a good time. It's pretty obvious that we need some definite work in smaller options fights and in tree to tree battles. Timed fights are the way to go during the week I think embarassed(2).gif .

Edit: Today's P2P basically proved that we can get 150 options to a one day prep at 5pm EST and most remained for the entire hour we were out. That's enough to work with.

Sorry if this feels jumbled lol

I'm up for some midweek p2p multi fights but I also wouldn't mind castlewars with Rot, if we took it seriously I think it would prove to be a lot better than p2p multi because it can't get crashed really and I guess people would prefer not to loose items and use all the latest shit like godswords.

We are a GMT clan and have to face that, you can't force people to stay awake etc. I think they are boring too, its just walking around for ages.

However prehaps if a timed fight was orginized that would be fun but theres never really a winner but on the other hand we would be getting much needed publicity.
