Guys, Help Options

I guess im looking for some advice, since the summer i've been on a steady decline in the wilderness. It seems I have a big target on my chest wherever I go. Not sure if it's because of the time I'm pking, My lag, My personal ability or other clans getting better ( or worse depending on how you look at it ) or a mixture of all of the above. I think i've died 8 times in the last 3 times i've pked at mb (5 defenders ffs). I do pk quite late gmt where I seemingly run into Ds or that faggot clan ( egnar/fightmage dont know the clan name nor do I care ) I know both clans deteste me and us. My rs has been lagging like a bitch all week to extent SS dced and I lost whip. My kill count's gone down a bit, I'm making loads of mistakes

I have questions

1.What is pking like 8gmt - 12gmt ? Who do we run into?
2.I see Woodly and Dkm tanking quite alot
-How do you tank well? tips?
-Do you tank because like me you get specced like a bitch in mage?
3.Anyways to reduce Rs lag apart from the obvious?
4.Brian how does it not get to you dying to faggots? I hate when I die 3/4 times without a kill.


I don't want to quit nor step down, it's been on my mind alot. I don't wanna post anymore about this stuff on members boards because I don't want the attention nor do I want to rant. I wanna play rs for the fun of it again but in the last 9 months or so it's starting to become a choir to pk, especially when I have harsh spells like I have done recently. I don't want it to be like that, it makes me less active. I guess I could say the thing that happened to all the old school members that left is happening to me. The way people pk nowdays is getting to me, that clan we fought tonight might as well be called AD (anti-di) everyone in the clan has a massive problem with us and play to defeat us ( much like Td but with NO honour ) I hate this kind of pking, they play for hate, the hate of us. The sadness of pking for hatred is unbelivable to me and I guess it's working because I dont wanna fight them or Ds just because it gives them hard on's to kill me (and it feels like im just pking to get back at them but I cannot get the better of them because of their style of NH). In return I just cannot kill them because of how they pk, it's impossible to kill someone who prays with 10 brews (and my unbelieable bad luck with hitting). I try to ignore but I cant help but flame them back, trying to stand up for what's right. I guess this is what paints the target on me.

How do I change so I can enjoy pking again?

I think it's been good lately, and i prefer it to when we pk late gmt like 3am'ish. Not so many big teams out, but a few smaller teams to kill. And even if theres not alot of people out, i prefer it to when everyones out and every fight we get into turns into a di vs rot/nh/td3/1 itemers/ whoever wants to come.

I think you've just gotta be clever about how you mage, don't stand in the walls of mb, stand outside where there are di tanks stood doing nothing, so chances are if you are attacked, someone will take them off you. And keep melee on until the very last second that you want to mage. People wont spec you if you're stood there in rune, so keep your rune on until you see someone who needs tb or freezing. I pretty much always do this and i haven't ever been killed in a big fight at mb.

I don't die to faggots, i don't like giving anyone the satisfaction of killing me without having a proper fight.

Alot better then pking later. Although we may not find big teams all the time at times we do and its pretty fun. Those are the times when we are at our best so we don't lose fights at those times.

Brews lol Once you know how to use brews properly you die ALOT less. I haven't died at MB since granite plates came out and im at like every major MB fight and then some Even though thats a while even from me, my normal death rate at MB is around once every 2 days since im really not the dm'ing type. I'll fight till im out of sharks but I won't stand there and die to ROT, AG etc.

I tank because there are ssooooo many magers that at times we are seriously short on melee'rs to protect those mages when a big team rushes in. I also no longer find mage to be fun and I enjoy melee'ing quite alot. Besides I last longer up top that way, longer I am out in the midst of battle the more easily I can grasp whats going on around me.

Not really, just be sure you don't have alot of unneeded programs running in the background and hope for the best. Oh and don't use swiftswitch, normal client lags less and won't close out on you due to bugs and glitches like SS does.

Shouldn't let it get to you. Thats what they want. Remember its kill or be killed out there. We just all have to learn how to cope with death. I did a long time ago so if I die it really doesn't bother me at all, just motivates me more to come back out and kick some NH ass.



DI these days is basically the last remaining honor clan. We are the last of a dying breed while everyone else chooses to take the easy way out. It MIGHT get better once we fully reclaim our number 1 spot. Till then we have to deal with the huge amount of NH clans popping up everywhere. It'll also get easier as our member count goes up and we're able to pull more numbers outside of our prime time.

Ok ty but I know how to brew and I always get specced wether im in rune or mage lol. I have reviewed and talked to people and maybe I always have mage on me to live up to a title when really I should be getting tank defence melee seeing as I'm a target for NH.

I'm gonna spend a bit of torag helms and stuff, gonna either ancient in ahrims or tank it hardcore. Thanks for the help guys.
