Have had it for about 24 hours now so sample size is small but I absolutely love it thus far in comparison to 8.1 and haven't experienced any issues

It's probably downloading "updated" drivers from windows update. I had the same problem with a laptop.

Open up device manager, uninstall the current drivers for the network adapter then install the appropriate drivers.

For example;
  1. I downloaded the x64 wlan drivers from acer.com.
  2. Uninstall the current drivers from the device manager.
  3. Run the installer for the "old" drivers (you might have to launch it in compatability mode).
  4. Restart.

NB: You might have to disable automatic driver updates, you can find the setting for that under updates.

Windows 10 really improve quite alot from Win8.1 problems

But DX12 needs alot of fix as well...

noentheless, Win10 is a great update from Win8.1 . Anyone using Win7 / Win8 or Win8.1 should reconsider update to Win10

Posts like this are so fucking stupid.

Do you use Facebook, Twitter, any Google or Mozilla product, P2P software?

Your privacy is already being breached by multiple parties every time you use the Internet, at least Microsoft are upfront about it and offer toggles for the majority of the settings. You can also completely disable them by editing your host file.

It's still a big upgrade over Windows 8.1 and definitely Windows 7.

e; Gl on your intro

You're right, and to a large extent it's become quite common place. I know ppl over react when they see "kill-swich" yet it's merely a method utilized to shut down a released app that would cause severe problems for the customers.

At the same time I feel like it's important to at least be educated in what's going on.

Windows 10 is not free anymore. Costs $160. I have it on one computer and the experience is pretty lame. Microsoft comes up with so many upgrades that just cancel out other programs and make them not work. Even the weather app is crap. I ask it for celsius it gives me fahrenheit, so I have to set it to Fahrenheit to get Celsius. ?????

Make sure to turn off Hey Cortana if you value your privacy. Default is on. The program actively eavesdrops on your conversations even when your computer is just turned on (basically a wire tap in your living room), typing history and search history (basically a key logger), and sends this data to Microsoft. Of course it has nothing to do with NSA, as it is in the hopes of "improving your and others experience by giving you appropriate ad targeting and search results, and better recognizing your voice."

The fact that Windows 10 in effect reproduces itself by using your machine as a host for others to upgrade or update their Windows is eerie. There's sure going to be some bugs about that, and I am almost waiting to see the pitfalls of this.

I have it and use it, rate it 6/10 compared to my previous Windows experiences.

How to turn off Hey Cortana. Go to settings > in the Search bar type Cortana
> Cortana & Search settings
> first thing at the top Hey Cortana
> set to Off
